So my lease is up in a week.  I can’t say I’m bummed about it – it’s been time to move on for awhile now.  Seattle just isn’t my cup of tea.  While I’m sure there’s grand adventure to be had, and fabulous characters to meet… I just don’t feel it here.  This city doesn’t have the vibration I’m looking for.  I’ll return to Portland for a regroup.  Autumn is coming, I can feel it in the morning air and it sets my heart to racing.  I get tummy flutters just thinking of downtown Portland in the fall.

This will be good.  I’ll redirect, absorb the season as autumn is my favorite time of year.  I start to nest and create order for the year to come whereupon I pull it all apart again, but that’s a different story.  I need grounding and Stumptown has it.

Then I’m off to New Zealand.

I’ve been thinking of late about the things on my list to do.

1-Have tea in a tree house with a stylish cross dresser.

2-Slow dance with a hottie in the Gorge.

3-Smoke a cigar and watch the sunset at Cannon Beach.

4-Build a sand castle at the Pink Dunes.

5-Learn to be fluent in an obscure language.

What do you want to do? What’s on your list to try, see, accomplish and learn?  What idea keeps coming to you at random times that you always tell yourself you’ll put the effort to when you’re richer, stronger have more time or are more secure?

If you’re reading my blog and you’re in the area – let’s set up a plan to spend a day crossing off something from our list… autumn is coming.  It’s time to get on it.  Come on.  Just one thing off your list this fall… I dare you.  What’s on your list today?

A ride in a hot air balloon. Have wanted to for longer than I can remember. Not one of those over the top desires we all have, like … become breathtakingly stylish … or … winning the Kentucky Derby (as the jockey, not the horse, somehow it seemed important to clarify.) Just ride in a hot air balloon. Probably costs a couple hundred bucks. Just have never made it happen.

Learn to airbrush (the girl will need helmets for snowboarding, biking and riding her ATV…gotta make them COOL helmets!).

Get back to snowboarding…if my knees will hold out.

Get my golf score to 10 over (I think I’m around 45 over right now…it’s pretty sad, but I’m still new at all this).
