Dante’s last night was awesome! Fire dancers, half naked people and rum! I met a couple of cool new Portlanders and hung with my girl, Skysidhe and drooled over the hot sweaty dancer guys twirling fire.
I wore my miniskirt and stripped socks and red shoes and even gave my number out. My eyes stung all night from the smoke and my voice is a little rough from talking over the music but – oh, my, god. I can’t wait to practice and get better at poi so I can dance with real flames.

hey, euphoria studios (on 12 and Division) has classes in neo-tribal and their six class packet is only $60. They also have egypian cabaret (“normal” bellydancing) and yoga and poi classes…I’d probably skip the poi for the free ones on Tuesdays..but the rest look really good. they have a website, can’t remember the address but we should look into it..I could afford $60 a month for bellydancing!
