My editor called me this morning and woke me up.
“Oh!” She said, “I forgot about the time difference!”
“That’s okay,” I mumbled.
“I just wanted to verify your address cuz your advanced copy is here and I’m putting it in the mail.”
Wooooo-hooooooo!
Suddenly I was wide awake. It’s real? Is this a dream?
When I hung up I tried to go back to sleep but there was no hope of that. I just sat in bed for another hour and a half with a shitty grin. My advanced copy is en route, and in about eight weeks – it should be on shelves.
