IT’S HERE!!!!

Ghosts of Seattle

By Athena

EditorExtraordinaire sent my advanced copy with a bottle of red wine! I got home and the box was sitting on the counter.  I even opened it and St. Mary “ooed” and “ahhed” appropriately, but it still didn’t feel real for about fifteen minutes.

As I was changing my clothes it suddenly struck and I screamed “OH MY DEAR GOD!!!”

St. Mary came running in a panic with heart palpitations and freaking out, “Are you okay?  Is there a spider or something?”

I started laughing like a bedlam lunatic, “No. I just realized… I have a book out!”

She just stared at me for a second. “Oh. I thought maybe you found a body in the basement.”

So, I’ve gone out to Café Vivace to celebrate. I’m having my favorite crepe (raspberry and cream cheese) and an Americano with nutmeg and cream. Special diet be damned! I deserve this and I’m going to enjoy it, cuz I worked fucking hard to get here.

If you like, in 4-6 weeks, you can go purchase a copy of my book, wherein I document my search for the paranormal in Seattle.  I had a fabulous summer as a hunter and I hope you all enjoy the stories.

Athena…
CONGRATULATIONS! There is nothing like getting your first book out. Well done.
I’ve just ordered a copy and recommended it to some friends in Seattle. I’ll write more about it when I’ve actually got a copy in my hands.

Athena, I am so excited for you! Hope you will still condescend to talk with those of us you knew before you became a famous author…. For our part, we plan on bragging about you shamelessly.

Awesome! Even if I wasn’t interested in the subject I would probably buy it, but as is…YAY! I’m all over it :)

Oh, and to answer your question on the previous entry’s comments…or something…I’ve been good. It’s been an…interesting few weeks, spaz-wise, but I only have one scar :P

Epiphany, Honey, you can’t leave the story with “only have one scar.”
Details!
Was he hot? Was it a crazy space monkey? Was it a double jointed accident?

Heh, I’m going to have to write an entire blog entry for this one, I’m afraid. It’s just too challenged to put into a mere comment :P

Hot…yes, crazy…most likely, accident…oh yes.

More details to come :) I’ll come back and link when I’ve written it up…

YIKES!
Epiphany, I’m sorry about your bubbleburnblister scar.
That soooo sucks.
I can’t comment on your blog either, cuz I’d be anonymous or something.

You’ve got healing mojo coming from Portland!

:)

Woo-hoo! You’re on Amazon! Sooooo freakin’ cool!

Did you ever go to the Paranormal Research foundation office down the street from our house?
Can’t wait to read all about the ghost hunting. My Grandma’s house is supposedly haunted…and I’d love to go in there with some ghost busters and see if it’s HER. LOL

Mad love from SEA-town :)

Thanks Carrie!
I can always use mad love from Sea-town!

There’s a mention of the Amazon building in my book, which is right next to your house!
