On the day of the full moon, I was enjoying a relaxing half nap on the sofa when I realized suddenly that Lemon-Lime, the plant near the door had bloomed. Overnight. And I didn’t even know it was getting ready. So of course I got up and took a picture.
That night I lounged near the windows watching the moon and made a bunch of wishes, felt spacious and full of options and, well, joyful.
The next morning I came out to the living room and the bloom on the plant had twirled into death. Each petal spiraling closed. Overnight.
I didn’t know plants did that. Bloom once for s brief period and then twist closed, like – I got what I came for, a day of sun and a night of moonlight – it doesn’t get better than this so- I’m done.
Awesome, Adora’Bella the cats are doing great. They are leaving hair all over me. Your apartment rocks. Thank you for letting me stay.

You name your plants?
That’s great!
Mademoiselle, you are indeed the bestest. I was just having a missing-the-kitties attack, and I’m delighted to see that Lemon-Lime bloomed!
It does my heart great good to know you’re there, and I’m really glad you’re enjoying the cave-time.
Now I’m crawling back inside my bottle o’cough syrup.
Brian, as a rule yes, I do name my plants.
However, it just so happens, that so do my friends. So lemon-lime was named before I got here
Erin, Honey, Welcome to the BlissQuest.
I’m so sorry that you’re sick. What crappy freaking timing!!
I hope you feel better soon. And I will keep updating on the kids, even as I sit here typing, Oyster has plunked down in front of my laptop on the bed, lifted a back leg and started licking his ass.
Cheers!
This made me think immediately of you, btw:
