Dinner with Jordan was lovely, and later we went to Pix Patisserie for dessert where I have never –ever been outdone by chocolate before anyone else. But Jordan totally took the prize and I was partly astonished and awed by the fact that no one has ever out-chocolated me, much less out-chocolated by a man.

Saturday I woke feeling a little overwhelmed at all I needed to accomplish for the weekend before my workweek of 5 twelve hour days.  So I rushed around doing errands, which also meant IKEA (wow!) then home to get dressed up for Admiral Fubar’s holiday military party, which I’d agreed to go to for a couple of hours before rushing off to do the photography for the Women Who Rock.

The military ball was much like I thought it would be, and although it was fun, the chicken with mushroom sauce tasted vaguely suspicious. Then I raced home to change and showed up 20 minutes late to the Women Who Rock where I will have to blog later as I have a lot to say about the coolness of the event. At about 11:30 I started to feel sort of crappy so I went home and as I crawled into bed I began shivering and sweating at the same time. I turned up the electric blanket and still I shook so hard I got nauseas.

All day Sunday I didn’t leave the house, alternating between feverish and freezing, achy bones and dizziness, and all the unpleasantness you don’t really want to know about. I stayed in my pajamas and sat in front of the fireplace. So – I didn’t get anything done.

Today is my first 12 hour day this week.  I came in half an hour late but I’m feeling better with crackers and water, although I suspect that something was definitely up with the chicken at the party. Yuk.

I may be incommunicado this week as there’s just too much going on.  A combination of stress and fatigue and what feels like food poisoning of some sort will likely leave me not really feeling like answering the phone for a while. I will however, try to stay up on the blog so you all don’t think I got salmonella and crawled under a rock or something.
