Got off work late and stopped by a white elephant party.  I had tons of packing to do but promised I’d stop and at least make an appearance before running off again. An appearance turned in to three hours and I’m glad I went! The thing I adore about true white elephant parties is the stuff people think of to pass off. One year the greatest gift I saw at a white elephant was a stuffed rooster.  This year I think the funniest was an unopened mint condition puzzle of Luke Perry’s character from 20210. Who has that sitting around for 10 years!

Anywhoo, I’m going to run off to Utah for Christmas with the fam. I’ll check in from the frozen waste of Mormon country but I’ve already agreed that when I get back, those of my friends who are traveling to see family in Nebraska, Texas and California will all have to party hard for New Years to wash off the weird family neuroses that we pick up when we go home for the Holiday. When I get back from Utah I’m going to need hard liquor and nudity and foul-mouthed language and fornication to make up for the week of ultraconservatism.
