Been getting up early to write because it’s the only block of uninterrupted time I have in the day.  So far this week I’ve written a grand total of … nothing.  I sit in front of my screen sleeping with my eyes open. Mind wandering in circles like “When is the sun going to come up?” “Why am I out of bed?” “Oh my god, did I just drool?”

It’s going to take some time evidently to rewire my natural creative patterns since I’ve always been a night writer. Generally between 10pm and 4am. So this early morning stuff – - not so productive. I drank a full pot of French press yesterday trying to rev up my brain and I’m halfway through one today. Character’s lives are hanging in the balance so I need to get a move on.

Aha! Mental image, that was great. I have tried three days in a row now to get up at 6:30, go for a walk, do some yoga/pilates and get to work by 8:30. Yeah… not so much. Today I rolled out of bed AT 8:30, after pushing snooze since 6:30. You have the most interresting dreams during those short ten minute sleep spurts.

I know! The snoozer-dreams are the most potent – and slightly addictive dreams I know.
It’s amazing how intense 10 minutes of dream sex can be! And how hitting the snooze over and over is a little like masterbation….

Oh, god. Did I just say too much….
