Got Pink?

I started the first step of three steps on my hair last night.  Indigo came home as my head had just been plastic wrapped and covered in bleach.  Step two is a cut to shorten my hair and emphasize the curls and step three is to go pink.

Short curly pink hair is my goal.

So to be on the safe side, I came to work today with bronzed poorly bleached hair to ask if I would get fired for going pink. I figured I better ask first so I don’t shock everyone like I did at the investment firm when I came in platinum then four months later walked in bald.

Best just to check if I’m gonna get canned, right.

I’ve wanted to be pink for a couple of years but was afraid it wouldn’t fly at my old job and then I didn’t have any hair to color for awhile, so now I want to do it before I turn thirty. 

The short is – my manager doesn’t think I’ll get the boot.  My team thinks it would be cool and wouldn’t prevent me from doing my job. There’s nothing in the employee handbook about colored hair – but the Bossman is a stickler for control.

Currently, I’m a brassy-colored mess as I’ve started the color stripping process so I need to do something soon.  I’ll keep you posted with some pics.

I feel like spring is coming and that usually wakes up my need to express myself in a physical way.  Usually, I change my clothes, hair and make up. I feel an emergence coming and a shift in how I see myself so I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to see what else will come up! Maybe a new tattoo!
