A deep sigh

It happens frequently that my way of using words, of trying to articulate through metaphor is not understood. My sister is often telling me I exaggerate because she doesn’t understand the reference or the underlying point of what I’m trying to say. That’s okay, because when it works – it works really well and I can reach further and articulate more meaningfully and with greater depth. So it’s a trade-off. ‘Nuff said.

What a fabulous weekend!

I got plenty of writing done, kinks in my ideas worked out and even visited PirateLara’s new herbal and metaphysical shop.  I walked in and the energy rolled over my body with a sense of welcome I haven’t felt in ages. A deep breath of air pregnant with herbs and magic and I felt something give in my center.

Welcome home to Avalon, Sister. It has been too long.

It was a sense of centering I desperately needed and after purchasing a few sticks of incense and a bag of mugwort, I went home and burned a bit to clear the air.  Things made sense and I enjoyed calm clarity.  It was a good, cleansing weekend.
