I had my quarterly board review today. It wasn’t shocking or upsetting this time, but now at least I know what to expect. Everything but the worried faces of my co-workers as I came back to my office and two of them asked if everything went alright.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t it?” I asked.
“Weeellll, you know, board review isn’t really your strong suit….”
Then when PrettyGeek asked, “Did you say anything naughty?”
I suddenly became suspicious. “No. Why would I?”
“Because it’s kind of your thing, you know, to say what’s on your mind…”
Holy Crap, Batman! My whole team thinks I’m a train-wreck waiting to happen. I can’t tell if this is good or bad. It seems bad, but I can’t put my finger on exactly why. I’ll have to think about it.
