Since moving in with Indigo there have been some mail issues. Primarily because I’ve had so many residences for the last two years while traveling that now I settle and can’t seem to get my forwards to catch up.  Then add in the whole mono name thing and my mail never seems to find me.

Upon first arriving I clipped a note to the mailbox that said, “Athena lives here with ‘Indigo’” Then my mail would come sporadically but still end up at St. Mary’s house.

Another forward and 6 months, and three weeks later I still have no mail. Each day the box is stuffed with things for Indigo but then I started getting worried so I wrote another note on Wednesday morning.

“Athena lives here too!!”

Last night when I came home there was a second note pinned on top of mine. It barely glowed in the porch light so I stepped forward to look closer at a small scrap of paper that read simply.

“I know. –Jeff, USPS”

I couldn’t stop laughing. This morning I pinned a new note on my box.

“Than you, Jeff from USPS. Have a great day! –Athena”

I realized then, that I never get the chance to say thank you to the mailmen.
