I finished the 3rd re-write yesterday and I am officially done with the script. I did not make my own self-imposed deadline of the 31st for my package but the entry deadline is the 8th of August so I’m not out yet. Still need to get the rest of the package edited; resume, letter of interest and bio and all that jazz.
I drive up to pick up Meme tomorrow morning so I’ll be on the road pretty early and likely wont get any writing done till Monday, which is pushing my deadline so close that I’m starting to feel it in my muscles. Stress cramps and shoulders aching from sitting at my computer all day at work and all night when I get home. But it can be done. I know it. I can do this.
All is well and I’m looking forward to blogging the week long party of turning 30. My boss already warning me not to come to work hung over on the morning I get back and I said, “Any other time you can have that talk and I will listen and hear you – but if I come in hung over from my 30th birthday… I earned it and I’m keeping it.”
I want my script postmarked and in the mail system before I even have a margarita, but after that… all bets are off.
