Princess Buttercup has changed the way my home feels and I’m so relieved. There’s something about living with other creatures, not necessarily other people, but certainly animals that makes a house more like a home.
She’s the quietest dog I’ve ever had, super well behaved and house trained. She’s definitely a snuggler and hasn’t quite gotten comfortable enough to rough house yet, but she wants to be held and loved and it’s distracting as all hell in a very good way.
Her favorite trick is “look cute”.
Wherein she will race in front of me, flop over on her back and wag her tail. If I step over her and keep walking, she’ll jump up, run around in front of me again, flop over and wag and this will continue until I’ve either reached my destination or until I finally rub her belly.
I was reading the other night and I fell asleep with her in my armpit and when I woke up she was laying on her back across my shoulder and throat. I’d slept through the whole thing.
She is killing me with the cuteness. It’s her only trick but it works every time.
